Saginaw Freestanding ER, a Medical City Alliance facility, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This is a full-time position on the night shift, from 7pm to 7am. The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the specific requirements of the department. The RN collaborates with medical providers and other members of the care team to provide individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care. The role includes assessing patient pain, performing procedures, teaching patients and families about medical conditions and treatment plans, and advocating for patients and their families.

  • Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Respond promptly to patient requests and strive to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.
  • Teach patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, treatment plan, medications, and follow-up measures.
  • Translate complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding for patients and families.
  • Prepare patients and families/caregivers for future self-management.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Associate's degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred.
  • Minimum of two years' nursing experience preferred; Emergency room clinical experience preferred.
  • Registered Nurse License eligible to practice in the State of Texas required.
  • BLS and ACLS certification from HCA approved vendor required.
  • ENPC required within 6 months of hire.
  • TNCC required within 6 months of hire.
  • CEN, CPEN, or TCRN preferred.
