Charlotte Hungerford Hospital's Winsted ED is a beautiful, state of the art, fully functional Emergency Department providing all residents of the Northwest Region with broader, more convenient access to health services. The Winsted site features 6 private rooms and all testing and point of care on site from EKG's, Cat Scan, Labs, X-Ray's etc. The site also features a LIFESTAR landing pad and a wide range of Primary and Specialty Care services. Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, documentation, and evaluation) to provide direct and indirect patient care based on area(s) assigned.
- Address the age appropriate needs of all patients.
- Follow nursing department philosophies, policies and procedures to develop unique education and care plans for each patient.
- Provide appropriate education and support for family members.
- Utilize judgment, knowledge and understanding of patient and family needs when directing ancillary staff.
- Ensure customer satisfaction (patient, family, physician, others).
- Maintain patient confidentiality and be sensitive to the age specific patient needs for comfort, privacy and generalized care.
- Complete the attached competency requirements specific to their area(s) of responsibility annually.
Requirements
- Maintain current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut.
- Bachelor's degree in field of Nursing preferred.
