Fairview Hospital’s Emergency Department (ED) is a Level II Trauma Center that specializes in general emergency/trauma, cardiac services, sepsis care, and offers SANE (sexual assault nurse examiner) services. As an RN on our team, you will deliver exceptional care throughout the patient care journey. In this role, you will interact directly with patients and their families, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education as needed. In alignment with our commitment to excellence in cardiac care, this position is open to registered nurses with prior experience in cardiac services, as well as those seeking to develop expertise and contribute to education within this specialty. Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources. A caregiver in this role works nights part-time from 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. with rotating weekend and holiday requirements.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross upon hire or within one year of beginning work in the Emergency Department
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC - adult) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC - pediatric) upon hire or within 24 months of beginning work in the Emergency Department
One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience
