Union Hospital’s Emergency Department provides top quality emergency care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our team focuses on providing treatment based on each individual patient’s specific needs. Our triage process allows us to assess patients by the severity of illness and the needs of the patient – significantly reducing wait times, accomplishing registration immediately and accelerating treatment based on acuity level. As an RN, you will deliver exceptional care, throughout the patient care journey. In this role, you will interact directly with patients and their families, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education as needed. Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources. A caregiver in this role works night shift from 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. with rotating weekend and holiday requirements.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon or within one year
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC - adult) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC - pediatric) upon or within 24 months of hire
One-year of current acute care RN experience.
Will consider military RN experience
