About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in Tucson, AZ on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide rapid assessment and high-quality care to patients with urgent, emergent, and life-threatening conditions. The ideal candidate has strong emergency nursing experience, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is committed to delivering safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care.

Requirements

Current and valid RN license in Arizona (or compact eligibility).
Minimum 1–2 years of recent ED nursing experience in an acute care setting.
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
Strong clinical assessment, decision-making, and communication skills in high-pressure environments.
Compassionate and adaptable approach to patient care.
COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.

Nice To Haves

PALS and TNCC preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform triage and rapid assessments for patients presenting with emergent and critical conditions.
Administer prescribed medications, IV therapies, and emergency interventions accurately and efficiently.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to stabilize and treat patients.
Monitor and interpret vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and responses to treatment.
Assist in trauma care, resuscitation efforts, and other emergency procedures as required.
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the medical record.
Adhere to infection control protocols, safety standards, and evidence-based practices in emergency nursing.
