About The Position

Corewell Lenox EC is a small free-standing Emergency Department and is a part of the Corewell Grosse Pointe Hospital. The Lenox EC is a full-service emergency department, with 24/7 lab and imaging services including CT and Ultrasound, and is equipped to handle all types of emergencies. There are 8 rooms, including 2 trauma bays, plus 2 triage bays and 5-6 hallway spots. The department is staffed 24/7 with Board Certified Emergency Physicians, in addition to emergency trained mid-level providers, nurses, and technicians. Staffed by board-certified emergency medicine physicians, the Corewell Emergency Center in Lenox offers the same high-quality, comprehensive emergency care you would expect from other Corewell Health Beaumont locations. The one and only difference is that this center is located right in your neighborhood, not physically connected to a hospital. Close integration and collaboration with Beaumont's hospitals enables efficient transitions to an inpatient setting if needed.

Requirements

• Associates or Diploma in Nursing Required
• Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years if new graduate/nurse with less than one (1) year experience
• Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire/transfer from one of the following organizations - American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Canadian Heart and Stroke.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire/transfer. TNCC within 1 year of hire/transfer. ENPC within 15 months of hire/transfer
• Specialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years
• Prefer RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the framework of the nursing process to provide professional nursing care.
• Incorporate patient-family centered care principles to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge.
• Provide quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader according to Corewell Health policies and procedures.
• Recognize the impact of nursing care and patient/family partnerships on patient outcomes.
• Partner with and utilize patient/family input and goals in planning the plan of care.
• Develop teaching strategies for patient/family and document education and learning appropriately in health record.
