We are currently hiring for our Med/Surg Float Pool at Essentia Health Duluth - Miller Dwan! Essentia Health Duluth - Miller Dwan consists of the following floors: - Observation Unit - Inpatient Rehab - Adolescent Behavioral Health - Adult Behavioral Health - Med/Surg This float pool is primarily between Observation, Inpatient Rehab, and Med/Surg Floors as we have a separate Behavioral Health Float Pool. Education Qualifications: BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing What you'll get to do in this role: You will be in charge of organizing and providing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. You will get to be a team leader and delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions. You will be part of something bigger as you will contribute to meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and in turn serve the community in which you live. You will meet the requirements of the Joint Commission as applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies. This position will work the following: 0.75 FTE 12 Hour Shifts Day/Night Rotation Every third weekend $2.00 per hour upon hire into a float pool position

Requirements

  • Current nursing licensure in Minnesota
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month
  • BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing
  • 1 year Acute RN experience preferred, Critical Care experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • PALS or ACLS preferred
  • Critical Care experience preferred

Responsibilities
