About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable RN Educator to join our hospital team. This role will serve as a general educator, focusing on onboarding new RNs, PCAs, and CSTs, as well as developing and delivering educational programs across various strategies. The RN Educator will play a vital role in fostering a culture of continuous learning, ensuring staff are well-prepared to respond effectively to emergency situations, and supporting operational excellence through collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

  • Requires 3-5 years of relevant clinical experience.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires current organizational-specified CPR, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications.
  • Requires knowledge of adult learning principles, regulatory requirements, and educational program management.
  • Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office and software applications.
  • May require the ability to travel to within state of Indiana.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new hire RNs, PCAs, and CSTs, ensuring a smooth integration into the organization.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational offerings, including curricula focused on emergency response and emergency medical management.
  • Support and coordinate operational activities related to educational programs, collaborating with subject matter experts, multimedia developers, and learning management specialists.
  • Create an engaging learning environment that promotes professional growth for organizational staff and external providers.
  • Collaborate with departmental leadership and other organizational departments to identify educational needs.
  • Develop evidence-based, best-practice curricula tailored to the target audience, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and continuously seek improvements.
  • Maintain current knowledge of adult learning principles, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices in healthcare education.
  • Ensure all educational activities align with hospital policies and accreditation standards.
