This position is responsible for providing education and training to obstetric nursing and unlicensed nursing staff. Additional responsibilities include\: Creating educational curriculum, present orientation programs and evaluate orientees for new graduate/new to specialty programs, labor training, and unlicensed staff educational programs. Represent Women’s and Children’s Services on hospital and service line committees, functions in a leadership capacity to implement new initiatives directly impacting the service. Assumes responsibility for staff communication utilizing various tools including the accountability for unit roll call system. Manages education evaluation for all staff members including skills day, exams, You Learn offerings, competency evaluation including all documentation requirements to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance. Prioritizes education offerings to meet the strategic plan of the system, organization and the service.
