About The Position
Coordinates and teaches wound, skin care, and ostomy care programs for inpatients and staff. Responsible for the coordination of the Wound and Skin program provided to inpatients. Performs risk assessment and provides acute care to patients with potential skin breakdown or acute/chronic wounds. Inpatient Wound Care hours are Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:00 pm. No weekend or holiday requirements.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) in Indiana or other compact licensure state
- ADN or Diploma required. BSN preferred
- Academic preparation and/or experience in the care of persons with wound and skin problems as well as persons with chronic diseases helpful.
- Six months to one year on the job training necessary.
- Two years acute care nursing background required.
