About The Position

Ebenezer is looking for a Registered Nurse Educator - RN to join our team at the Ebenezer Corporate office in Edina, MN! This position provides training and education to a variety of audiences, including but not limited to, employees, clients, family and the general public. In addition, this position provides supervision and skills verification for the licensed and unlicensed nursing staff. This nurse educator schedule includes; 60 hours every two weeks Part time; Day/Evening shifts Weekends as needed

Requirements

• Associate of Science Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree - Nursing
• less than 1 year of previous experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows 7
• Registered Nurse RN Licensure/Registered with the MN Board of Nursing
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Provider from American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross; accepted certifications as follows -AHA: BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) Program or BLS Provider - BLS Instructor. American Red Cross: CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and/or Healthcare Providers, Life Guarding First Aid/CPR/AED

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science Nursing
• One to three years of previous experience
• Proficient in Eldermark Computer Documentation Software
• Prior supervisory experience
• Prior experience in home care or assisted living environment

Responsibilities

• Presents educational topics related to the health care industry in large and small group settings
• Demonstrates and teaches skills
• May provide supervisory activities for licensed and unlicensed staff
• Participates in research and development of presentations reflective of regulatory compliance and best practice
• Maintains appropriate supplies at NEO to provide effective training and competency verification
• Assist with NEO workflow as needed to support Education Coordinator
• Completes special projects and program development as assigned
