Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New Mexico or a Compact State
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required before
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in nursing, preferably within Hospice or Home Health settings.
- Demonstrated expertise in clinical practice, adult education, and staff development.
Nice To Haves
- Specialty certification in nursing, informatics, or education (e.g., CNE, NE-BC, or equivalent).
- Additional emergency response certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC) may be required based on area of assignment.
- Master’s degree in Nursing, Nursing Education, Education, Instructional Design, Leadership, Business Administration, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Development, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs to support staff competency and professional growth.
- Ability to serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nurses and other clinical staff.
- Collaboration with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to support quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
- Designing and delivering orientation, continuing education, and skills training related to Hospice and Home Health care.
- Supporting organizational clinical initiatives and best practices across the PHS enterprise, including CDS and RDS facilities.
