RN - ED Flow Coordinator
About The Position
Piedmont Macon is a 310-bed, acute-care community hospital that has served the Macon community for over 50 years. The medical center offers 24-hour emergency care and all major medical, surgical and diagnostic services. The Emergency Department (ED) Patient Flow Coordinator position is responsible for the overall movement of patients through the ED in a safe and efficient manner. This position will coordinate all patient care activities and be a liaison with the ED medical staff to ensure that care can be delivered in an efficient and safe manner. The Patient Flow Coordinator appropriately delegates the workload and is a role model for teamwork, leadership and professionalism in the ED.
Requirements
- Graduate from a nursing program
- 1 year of Emergency Department experience, as a registered nurse (RN) Required
- Experience participating in and/or leading quality and process improvement projects Required
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
- ACLS Required
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree of Nursing Preferred
- CEN - Certified Emergency Room Nurse Preferred
