About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY The SANE nurse will provide trauma informed care to persons presenting to EAMC reporting a sexual assault and follow all state and hospital policies. The duties of the SANE nurse include but are not limited to: assessment and documentation, medication administration as appropriate, provides discharge and follow up care, and maintains legal chain of custody. The SANE nurse will participate in any legal proceedings as required.
Requirements
- Graduate of a school of nursing.
- Active nursing license.
- 40-hour adult/adolescent SANE didactic training within 90 days of hire or transfer with preceptorship to follow
- BLS for Healthcare providers within 30 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of active experience as a registered nurse.
- Two years of experience in emergency, critical care, or women's health
