About The Position

A leading acute care hospital in Margate, Florida is seeking an experienced RN Director – Cardiovascular Services to provide strategic and operational leadership for the Cardiovascular Service Line. This executive nursing leader will oversee clinical and administrative functions across cardiovascular departments, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while meeting financial and operational goals. The Director will collaborate closely with physicians, executive leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to drive service line growth, quality outcomes, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida (or compact state).
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in Cardiovascular Services.
  • Strong knowledge of cardiovascular clinical operations and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated success in budget management and operational oversight.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • Experience leading Cath Lab or Cardiovascular Service Line programs.
  • National certification in cardiovascular or nursing leadership specialty (e.g., NE-BC, CNOR, CCRN, or related).

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and direction for Cardiovascular Services, including Cath Lab, EP Lab, Cardiac Step-Down, and other related departments (as applicable).
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance cardiovascular program growth and service excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and safety standards.
  • Oversee staffing models, productivity, and budget management to achieve operational and financial targets.
  • Monitor and improve quality metrics, patient safety indicators, and patient satisfaction outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, and hospital leadership to support program development and innovation.
  • Lead recruitment, retention, mentorship, and professional development of nursing and clinical staff.
  • Implement evidence-based practices and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure efficient resource utilization and operational workflow optimization.
