About The Position

Queens-Long Island Renal Institute, located on the lobby level of the renowned Parker Jewish Institute for Healthcare and Rehabilitation in New Hyde Park, New York, is seeking a Full Time Hemodialysis RN to join our team of professionals. QLIRI provides state-of-the-art in-center hemodialysis treatment for kidney disease patients. Our experienced interdisciplinary team of nephrologists and renal nurses offer chronic dialysis services in a comfortable and modern setting. Requirements

• RN license in NYS
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
• Active BCLS (ACLS preferred)
• At least one year of recent experience in a chronic dialysis setting

Responsibilities

• Assesses the patient's physiologic health status
• Assesses patient's psychosocial health status
• Identifies patient outcome
• Formulates the plan of care and establishes the priorities necessary to achieve expected outcome
• Implements the plan of care
• Evaluates care provided for patient outcome
• Collaborates with other care team members in planning and carrying out treatment regimen
• Provides direction to other members of the care team
• Administers medications correctly and safely
• Participates in patient and family education
