About The Position
We are hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) at Starling Physicians, a VillageMD company! The role involves providing patient education and injection teaching for initiation of biologic therapies, administering biologic medications (subcutaneous injections), performing localized numbing for office surgeries and procedures, executing lightbox and photodynamic therapy treatments, performing suture removals, and providing wound checks and care as appropriate. Additional responsibilities include application and evaluation of allergy testing, reconstituting and drawing up Botox, managing inventory of medication samples, discussing lab and pathology results per provider instruction, utilizing Epic for patient scheduling, monitoring nurse schedule, and efficiently executing patient visits. The RN will also utilize EMA to place lab orders, send referrals, pend prescription refills, and document patient visits, tasks, and phone calls. The position requires reviewing and updating medication lists, allergies, and medical history in EMA, appropriately triaging patient calls, ordering relevant medical supplies, and collecting and accurately labeling lab specimens according to departmental guidelines.
