Requirements

Washington state RN licensure that is current and in good standing
Prior experience working in a long-term care center required

Nice To Haves

At least one-year of supervisory experience preferred

Responsibilities

Responsible for assessing resident in community setting to ensure they are stable and predictable, and evaluate if the task is appropriate for delegation
Instructing the nursing assistant or home care aide on specific task, ensuring they have met all state training requirements
Monitor the caregiver's performance at least every 90 days (or more frequently for tasks like insulin, which requires supervision every 2 weeks for the first 4 weeks)
Document the assessment, training, competency, and ongoing evaluation of the caregiver
Retain overall accountability for the patient's care and ensuring the task is performed safely, with the authority to rescind delegation at any time
