Job Posting Title: RN, Dallas (PreOP/PACU) Location: Dallas - Hospital Additional Posting Details: PRN, As Needed Monday - Friday 6:30 am - 5:00 pm Job Description: Duties/Responsibilities Manage, delegate, and coordinate quality nursing care Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with peers, departmental leadership, and the interdisciplinary team Demonstrate accountability for professional practice by participating in educational activities, maintaining clinical competency, maintaining licensure and certifications, and completing mandatory education in a timely manner Deliver family centered, child-focused patient care according to the nursing process Utilize critical thinking and evidence-based nursing practice to provide patient care Serve as a preceptor, charge nurse, or competency validator Participate in departmental and/or hospital wide committees or task forces Participate in and support departmental and organizational change and provides suggestions Demonstrate the Scottish Rite CARE RITE values

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
  • Current Texas RN license or eligible for a temporary permit from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners
  • 2 or more years nursing experience required
  • Pediatric experience required
  • American Heart Association BLS PALS certification
  • Competent in Windows OS and the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • EPIC experience required
  • Full time or part time status required

Responsibilities
