About The Position

Build your Career. Make a Difference. Join Our Cardiovascular Lab Team at Rust Medical Center! We’re currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Cath Lab Nurse to join our Alternative Call Team. This is a full-time position with a guaranteed 40 hours per week. The schedule follows a unique rotation: Week 1: On-call for 7 consecutive days (no daytime shifts) Weeks 2 & 3: Four 10-hour shifts each week This cycle then repeats, offering a balanced blend of flexibility and consistency. Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing
  • State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
  • BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire

  • Previous Cath Lab experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and care of patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and other interventional procedures.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and provide necessary care during procedures.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families about procedures, treatments, and post-procedure care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
