About The Position

Requirements

  • Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.
  • Bachelor's Degree of Nursing from an accredited nursing school (preferred).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
  • Familiarity with health care systems, regulations, policies, and functions.
  • Understanding of documentation standards.
  • Knowledge of equipment, supplies, and materials needed for medical treatment.
  • Ability to work well in a team setting and demonstrate strong cooperation skills.
  • Skill in reading and following written and oral medical orders.
  • Skill in initiating appropriate emergency procedures.
  • Skill in handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in a physician office (preferred).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree of Nursing from an accredited nursing school (preferred).
  • Experience in a physician office (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Promote and restore patients' health by completing the nursing process.
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Act as a resource for clinical support and management staff under the direction of the Clinical Manager.
  • Work effectively with providers, managers, and staff to promote quality and cost-effective daily operations.
  • Establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships with patients, families, the public, and co-workers.
  • Assist patients and facilitate successful interactions with the practice team.
