About The Position

Overview Registered Nurse will support the ER initiative and provide quality patient care Manages individualized; goal directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and Hospital policies and procedures. The Registered Nurse provides care, treatment, counseling and health education to the hospitalized patient. The RN is responsible for planning and coordination of care across the continuum. This planning and coordination includes meeting and exceeding compliance with core measures, contributes to reduction in LOS, active participation with all aspects of quality, safety and performance improvement activities, collaboration with all the members of the multidisciplinary team in providing outstanding customer service to patients, family members, physicians and the public. Meets and exceeds the Department of Health Service (DHS), The Joint Commission (TJC) and other regulatory requirements. Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a department/unit team inter and intra departmentally to facilitate the department's/unit's ability to meet its goals and objectives. Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Current California RN license
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Basic Dysrhythmia certificate preferred
  • Current MAB Certification
  • Ability to practice leadership, interpersonal skills, communication skills, teamwork, quality improvement and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in both written and oral English.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN Preferred
  • PALS certification preferred; or within 30 days of hire.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
