Key Position Details: Tier 1: Successful completion of Mercy ICU orientation or 1- year recent ICU experience required Tier 2: 1-year recent critical care step down, telemetry or emergency department experience required Tier 3 : 1-year recent medical/surgical experience required. Will consider new graduates who completed a capstone course in ICU 0.90 FTE (72 hours per two-week pay period) Combination of 8 & 1 2-hour Day/Evening shifts Every 3rd weekend rotation Job Description: Nursing is the diagnosis and treatment of human response to actual or potential health problems. This includes establishing an intentional therapeutic relationship between a registered nurse and a patient and family. As a leader and the integrator of care, the professional nurse has the responsibility, authority, and accountability for planning, coordinating and evaluating the patient’s care needs. Provides specialized care to patients who are severely ill or injured. May practice in an intensive care unit or in a care area that requires the expertise of the critical care nurse.
