The RN Critical Care - PICC Program Manager is a frontline leader who provides clinical and operational support to the Inpatient Nursing Units while maintaining oversight of the hospital’s PICC program. Success in this role is demonstrated through improved team communication, consistent execution of best practices in vascular access, and smooth day-to-day ICU operations. This position plays a critical role in supporting the Manager of ICU by serving as a clinical mentor, workflow coordinator, and mentor to nursing staff. The RN Critical Care - PICC Program Manager supports alignment between bedside practice and organizational goals, fostering collaboration that ensures the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency are achieved.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • PICC line certification required.
  • Minimum of three years of recent clinical experience in a critical care setting required.
  • Proven experience in central line and vascular access management.
  • Familiarity with Med Surg, Telemetry and ICU workflows, staffing coordination, and interdisciplinary care planning.
  • Understanding of patient safety principles, infection prevention strategies, and regulatory standards.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams in a dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Proficiency in vascular access techniques, including ultrasound-guided PICC insertion.
  • Skilled in electronic documentation and EMR systems (e.g., Epic).
  • Effective at managing time, setting priorities, and balancing clinical and leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong conflict resolution and coaching skills.
  • Ability to work independently while aligning with department and organizational goals.
  • Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) preferred.
  • Previous leadership, charge nurse, or clinical precepting experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting quality improvement and performance initiatives.
