About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with specialized Neuro Intensive Care Unit experience to join a dynamic team at a premier healthcare facility in Syracuse. This role is critical in providing high-acuity care to neurology and neurosurgery patients in a Level 1 Trauma Center environment.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current New York State RN License.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital experience.
- At least 1 year of specific Neuro ICU experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill neurological and neurosurgical patients.
- Monitor and interpret complex patient data, including neurological assessments.
- Operate specialized ICU equipment.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, therapists, and other nurses.
- Administer medications, implement treatment plans, and provide patient/family education.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system.
