Key Position Details: Tier 1: 6 months of Critical Care/ICU RN experience required Tier 2: 1 year of Med/Surg or Telemetry RN experience required Tier 3: New Graduate-Completion of a ICU Capstone or ICU rotation as a nursing student or experience in the ICU setting as a NA/other patient care role is required. New Grads would be part of the Abbott Northwestern Critical Care New Grad Pipeline Program. .9 FTE (72 hours per two week pay period) 12-hour night shifts Every third weekend rotation Job Description: Nursing is the diagnosis and treatment of human response to actual or potential health problems. This includes establishing an intentional therapeutic relationship between a registered nurse and a patient and family. As a leader and the integrator of care, the professional nurse has the responsibility, authority, and accountability for planning, coordinating and evaluating the patient’s care needs. Provides nursing care across departments that provide critical care services. Provides specialized care to patients who are severely ill or injured. May practice in an intensive care unit or in a care area that requires the expertise of the critical care nurse.
