About The Position

ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced Coronary Care ICU Registered Nurse for a high-acuity travel assignment in a Level I trauma cardiac ICU setting. The RN will care for complex cardiac and cardiothoracic surgery patients and support advanced circulatory and respiratory therapies. This unit manages critically ill cardiac patients and requires strong sterile technique skills and advanced device experience. Travelers must pass required dysrhythmia and skills lab exams during onboarding.

Requirements

• Active RN license required at submission
• Level I Trauma ICU experience required
• Cardiac ICU / CVICU experience required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Dysrhythmia competency required (must pass exam)
• Strong sterile technique skills required
• Must meet appearance and fit-testing requirements

Nice To Haves

• Experience with IABP and CABG recovery preferred
• CCRN certification preferred
• Cerner experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to cardiac and cardiothoracic ICU patients
• Manage post–cardiac surgery and advanced cardiac support cases
• Care for patients with IABP, Impella, CRRT, and ECMO
• Monitor and manage ventilated and hemodynamically unstable patients
• Perform and maintain central line dressings and Foley catheter insertion
• Maintain strict sterile technique during procedures
• Interpret complex cardiac rhythms and telemetry
• Float to other ICUs and telemetry units as required
• Document care in Cerner EMR
