About The Position

Assist Nursing departments, Quality, Case Management and Infection Control/Employee Health, as assigned by Director and/or Chief Nursing Officer. Rounds on patients throughout hospital, especially in-patient medical/surgical. Addresses opportunities to improve patient experience. Retrieve and analyze data for disease specific certifications such as Stroke and Chest Pain. Identify process improvements, develop education, and address opportunities for improved patient outcomes with disease specific certifications. Attend interdisciplinary team huddles to evaluate for swing appropriate patients. Evaluates referrals for appropriateness and serve as the liaison amongst case management teams and physicians. Perform weekly marketing activities external to the health system to further relationships and develop awareness.

Requirements

• Minimum Education: Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree or RN Diploma required.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire or must obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 90 days of employment.
• License: Current TN or Multi-State RN licensure.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in data abstraction, education/training.
• Experience in managing multiple priorities successfully preferred.
