About The Position

The RN Coordinator for Clinical Programs in Cardiology is responsible for coordinating nursing program activities and resources within the clinical specialty of cardiology. This role involves developing and overseeing patient care programs, ensuring compliance with clinical standards, and acting as a resource for nursing staff. The position requires a strong focus on patient care, documentation, and collaboration with healthcare teams.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience - required.
• CITI certification to be completed within 1 month of hire.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross preferred.
• Prior clinical research experience - preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word platform (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Develops and oversees nursing programs related to patient care and clinical standards.
• Acts as a resource for nursing staff regarding policies and procedures.
• Documents care plans and therapy programs.
• Ensures implementation of the plan of care therapy program.
• Obtains necessary resources and equipment as ordered.
• May supervise and direct nursing staff.
• Coordinates and maintains required documentation.
