About The Position

The employee is responsible for coordination and day-to-day clinical management of the Bariatrie Surgery Program, including: direct patient care, bariatric center development, maintenance of relevant policies and procedures, coordination of multidisciplinary team meetings, patient education, quality improvement, chart review and education of office and hospital facility personnel. The employees maintains and evaluates marketing program to increase volume and coordinates facilitators for monthl seminars. Coordinates and manages all clinical and day to day aspects of bariatric program Serves as liaison between facility and all bariatric proceduralists at the center and any general surgeon providing call coverage Ensures continuous compliance with MBSAQIP standards Promotes the bariatric program in association with the marketing department as well as autonomously using resources such as social media, referring physician outreach, community health events, etc. Coordinates and leads multidisciplinary team meetings and patient educational meetingS • Develops written protocols pertinent to bariatric patient care • Provides direct patient care, as appropriate • Works with Practice Manager to coordinate and manage logistical aspects of bariatric program • Leads quality improvement efforts • Maintains compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards of conduct Complies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all times • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (required)
  • Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience in an acute care setting or surgery (required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (required)
  • Bariatric Nurse Certification must be completed within two (2) years of hire date (required)

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) (preferred)
  • Leadership experience (preferred)
