About The Position

Coordinates the daily operations of ophthalmology, urology, plastics, ENT including dental, and the GI/Bronch Lab. Maintains competence in Laser Safety and functions as Laser Safety Officer for the CHD. Assists with the training, assignment, and evaluation and of specialty staff. Coordinates selection of specialty instrumentation/equipment and participates in budget preparation specific to specialty areas. Performs all functions of the staff Registered Nurse. Other duties as assigned.
The RN coordinator will support multiple service lines to ensure case coordination. Focus will be on equipment & implant needs, education, & staffing, as well as performing all other duties as needed to support the OR/Surgery Services. No on-call shifts required. Off hours support on an as needed basis.

Requirements

• Three(3) to five(5) years of recent operating room experience as a RN, and demonstrated competence in leadership is required.
• Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact).
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
• CNOR is required within one year of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited professional school of nursing is required.
• An Associate degree and CNOR certification may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree.
