Basic Function The RN Clinical Supervisor provides clinical leadership and operational oversight within a busy primary care office. This role ensures high-quality patient care, supports nursing staff development, and collaborates with providers and administrative teams to maintain efficient workflows and a positive patient experience. Reporting to the Practice Administrator, this position will join a small but mighty office of 7-10. This position will have direct supervision over a team of 3-4 medical assistants, and will spend 75% of the time on management responsibilities, and 25% of the time on clinical care responsibilities.

Requirements

3-5+ years of nursing experience required
Bachelor of Science in Nursing required
Current RN license required
Experience providing care to patients across the lifespan

Responsibilities

Direct supervision of medical assistants and other nursing personnel; lead, mentor, and evaluate performance
Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Handle scheduling, staffing, and immediate problem-solving on the unit
Provide mentorship, training, and performance feedback for nursing staff
Assist with patient triage and clinical decision-making
Conduct Annual Wellness Visits and preventive care assessments
Coordinate patient care, including tracking hospital transitions and follow-up needs
Manage referrals to specialists and external providers, ensuring timely communication and continuity of care
Deliver direct patient care when necessary to support the team
Promote patient-centered care by ensuring clear communication, education, and support for patients and families
