About The Position
PeaceHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Research for a Per Diem/Relief position, with a focus on conducting and managing clinical research studies. This role is crucial in acting as a liaison between the clinic and external sponsoring firms, ensuring that patient participation and data management for assigned studies are effectively coordinated. The RN will be responsible for recruiting patient populations, assisting physicians in identifying eligible patients, and conducting Informed Consent sessions in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Good Clinical Practice standards. The RN Clinical Research will establish and maintain a comprehensive record-keeping system for each study, ensuring that all research protocols are documented and that data is collected accurately throughout all phases of the study. This position requires effective communication of protocol information and support to patients, physicians, research staff, and all associated sponsor personnel involved in active protocols. The RN must also communicate appropriately with individuals of all ages and perform other duties as assigned. This position requires a strong commitment to maintaining the integrity of clinical research and ensuring that all activities align with the policies and procedures mandated by the study sponsor. The RN will work independently in a multi-task environment, demonstrating excellent organizational and problem-solving skills while utilizing proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with health record database systems is preferred, and the RN must be a self-starter capable of managing multiple responsibilities effectively.
