Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago Job Description Summary: The Clinical Quality Coordinator (CQC) RN works in collaboration with a broad group of stakeholders (nursing and medical directors, frontline clinical staff from all disciplines, Center for Quality & Safety, Clinical Informatics, Patient-Family Experience, Process Improvement, Data Analytics and Reporting, Information Management, Clinical & Organizational Development) to support continuous quality improvement at micro, meso, and macrosystem levels. The Clinical Quality Coordinator RN shares responsibility for providing facilitation, coordination services, consultation and management of various quality improvement and safety activities from designated microsystems to projects that are large-scale and across the medical center. This position reports to the Senior Director of Nursing Excellence and works in close collaboration with their respective unit Director. The responsibilities of the CQC RN may expand beyond a single department, advancing to the service lines to which the department belongs. This position provides leadership as a member of the Triad/Quad team and support for the advancement of high reliability practices and provides leadership in the department to guide operational processes and analysis methods. The CQC RN fosters improvements and care through quality improvement, safety, evidence informed practice and utilization of electronic health records and analytics. The CQC RN is an expert in use of formal quality improvement methodologies and technologies to improve the quality, safety, and efficiency of care delivery processes and outcomes, and the use of data to drive improvements.
