About The Position

The RN Clinical Program Consultant at Cigna is a pivotal role within the Clinical Sales and Network Organization, focusing on enhancing healthcare quality and affordability while ensuring client satisfaction. This position involves collaborating with clients, network provider partners, and key stakeholders to execute strategic priorities aimed at client growth, retention, and improved network performance. The consultant will leverage clinical insights to support organizational goals and facilitate effective communication between various teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted RN Nursing License
• Bachelor's degree required; Advanced Degree preferred
• Minimum of three years of clinical practice experience
• Proven industry experience in a Health Sector related field
• Strong Leadership, Organizational Savvy, Critical Thinking, and Execution skills
• Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment
• Proven ability to build strong relationships and foster collaboration
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proficient in using Microsoft and Technology/Software applications

Nice To Haves

• Experience in health insurance or healthcare professional roles
• Familiarity with value-based care models
• Experience in client engagement and education

Responsibilities

• Represent Clinical Performance and Quality (CP&Q) and the Clinical Sales and Network Organization (CSNO) as a Clinical Leader and Advocate.
• Apply knowledge of business segment strategies and healthcare industry trends to deliver clinical insights and consultancy.
• Participate in special projects for key business initiatives, providing technical, clinical, and business expertise.
• Identify and implement actions that improve organizational effectiveness and affordability as a Clinical Subject Matter Expert (SME).
• Provide clinical insights, education, and guidance to Segment/Market Leadership and external stakeholders.
• Support the RFI/RFP process and finalist meetings to achieve growth and persistency targets.
• Facilitate provider-supported Client/Producer meetings to educate and inform about Cigna's integrated value.
• Investigate escalated clinical inquiries and provide explanations on benefit and coverage positions.
