About The Position

The RN Clinical Manager provides operational and clinical leadership for the Float Pool with an expanding scope into Virtual Nursing. This role is responsible for staffing oversight, staff development, performance management, onboarding, scheduling, and ensuring high-quality patient care aligned with Logan Health’s mission, vision, and core values. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build our virtual nursing program, strengthen workflows, and support a high-performing nursing staff delivering excellent patient experiences.

Requirements

  • Current Montana RN License or multistate compact license; required.
  • BSN required; Master’s in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years recent experience in one of the following: Acute Care (required; Med/Surg highly desired)
  • Current RQI Healthcare Provider certification required.
  • Strong organizational skills, critical thinking abilities, and ability to function independently or within a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential/sensitive situations with professionalism and diplomacy.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and willingness to learn additional software.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Acute Care experience (at least 2 years), with Med/Surg highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day operational leadership for assigned specialty program areas.
  • Oversee clinical staff and patient care, including staffing, orientation, education, and policy compliance.
  • Complete performance evaluations, competencies, and orientation checklists.
  • Foster collaboration, mentorship, and support for nursing duties as needed.
  • Encourage quality improvement initiatives, risk reporting, and safety analysis.
  • Support exemplary patient and family relations and service recovery efforts.
  • Ensure adherence to Montana Nurse Practice Act, regulatory standards, and Logan Health policies.
  • Participate in development and review of policies and staff training for new procedures.
  • Monitor productivity and assist with budget development and fiscal oversight.
  • Support equipment and supply management.
  • Participate in process improvement, committees, and organizational initiatives.
  • Conduct rounding to ensure patient and family needs are met promptly and professionally.
  • Partner closely with HR for hiring, employee relations, corrective actions, compensation, and performance management.
  • Ensure staff are appropriately trained and support cross-training as needed.
