About the position

The RN - Clinical Instructor position at Washington Regional Medical Center is responsible for educating, organizing, executing, and maintaining relationships with community partners and clinical nursing students. This role requires compliance with the clinical policies and procedures of the medical center and involves significant physical activity, including walking, standing, twisting, pulling, lifting, bending, leaning, and squatting. The instructor will spend 80% of their time on their feet and 20% sitting, ensuring effective training and adherence to educational programs.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between community, system, unit-based leadership, educators, and staff through effective communication.
  • Organize and execute hands-on clinical experiences for students within assigned programs.
  • Develop instructional outcomes and appropriate evaluation and assessment methods for student learning.
  • Assist the Education Business Development Specialist in developing new tools to enhance student relations and clinical experiences.
  • Assist the Program Development Specialist in executing a Student Mentorship Program.
  • Assist in simulation curriculum and execution as directed by the Education Department.

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Arkansas RN licensure and BLS certification required.
  • Minimum 2 years acute healthcare experience in a variety of clinical areas required.
