MO-The Sarah Community Worker Type: PRN Job Summary: Analyzes, manages and communicates health information through clinical information systems and applications, supporting all service lines within a ministry or region. Uses excellent customer service skills to train and support business users in key operations. Supports existing functionality within the Epic system and other integrated clinical systems through problem-solving and educational skills. Utilizes an advanced understanding of Epic software, operational workflows, and policies supporting the business. Handles most complex problem solving. Promotes adoption efforts and influences stakeholders to effectively engage in utilizing systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Informatics, or relevant field.
  • Five years' relevant experience, with a minimum of two years' clinical work
  • Two years’ experience in Informatics or application support
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - State of Work Location or Compact Multi-State License
  • Epic Certification in one or more modules (CLN01 preferred)
  • One of the following: Informatics Nursing Certification (RN-BC) - American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) - Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, Inc. (HIMSS)
  • State of Work Location: Illinois Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) And Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) within 24 months - Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, Inc. Responsibilities

  • Supports the market, including all service lines within a region/ministry.
  • Leads adoption efforts targeting utilization of information technologies that advance practice and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Facilitates clinical workflow analysis and design activities.
  • Delivers on expected outcomes in terms of the patient, patient values, ethical considerations, environment, organization, or situation considering associated risks, benefits, costs and current evidence-based knowledge.
  • Supports the use and integration of clinical guidelines into practice.
  • Partners with clinical leadership to incorporate new knowledge and data analytic strategies to initiate change in clinical practice.
  • Analyzes organizational systems for barriers to implementation or adoption and leading change management to remove or decrease.
  • Promotes active engagement of stakeholders in the oversight and management of the exchange of data, information and knowledge.
  • Assists with promotion and adoption of clinical technologies that advance efficient practice and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Communicates clearly, openly and efficiently to insure correct use of the EHR and timely resolution of day-to-day issues including support of downtime processes.
  • Participates in and supports new department/clinic/hospital installations.
  • Travels within the organization as needed.
  • Provides effective and efficient onsite or phone support to operation users, working days, evenings, and nights as needed.
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
