About The Position

The RN - Clinical Decision/Observation Unit at PeaceHealth is responsible for providing professional nursing care in a high patient flow environment, assessing patient needs, and determining the necessity for inpatient admission. Requirements

• Degree from an Accredited School of Nursing (Required).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Preferred).
• Specialty certification (Preferred).
• One year of recent Registered Nurse experience in telemetry/progressive/step down (Preferred).
• Registered Nurse credential (Required).
• Basic Life Support certification (Required upon hire).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (Required).
• Demonstrated knowledge of age-specific principles of growth and development (Required).
• Basic computer skills (Required).

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a telemetry/progressive/step down unit (Preferred).
• Specialty certification (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care needs.
• Document patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards.
• Direct and delegate care to other team members based on their education and competence.
• Ensure professional effectiveness through ongoing education and development.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of hospital policies and quality improvement programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
