The RN Clinical Auditor plays a vital role in supporting clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness across the hospice program. This full-time position is designed for an experienced hospice Registered Nurse with strong clinical judgment, exceptional documentation review skills, and an interest in quality improvement and education. The RN Clinical Auditor conducts comprehensive reviews of clinical documentation across the continuum of hospice care—including intake, admissions, routine care, long lengths of stay, live discharges, and deaths—to ensure records are accurate, complete, and defensible. In addition to auditing, this role contributes to documentation excellence by identifying trends, providing feedback, and supporting education initiatives that strengthen clinical documentation and reduce organizational risk. While all auditors participate in core audit functions, emphasis areas may include long length of stay (LLS) audits, HOPE data review, front-end audits, or education support based on program needs. This role is both analytical and collaborative, bridging quality oversight with clinician support to promote consistent, high-quality documentation practices.
