About The Position

Astera Health i s currently accepting applications for a Temporary Clinic RN at the Wadena Clinic. This position is a temporary position with an established end date of June 30, 2026 . Any extension beyond this date is contingent upon staffing needs and is not guaranteed This position can work up to 24 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8:00a - 4:30p. Responsibilities required, but not limited to: Provide support and assistance for providers in the clinic. Collaborates with other inter-professional colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care. Provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established nursing standards and practices. Administer treatments and assess patients during appointments when needed. Support quality patient and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high-level functions within a care team to support the needs of the care team and patients/families. Functions within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in state of practice and licensure. May at times lead or direct the work of others by assisting in workflow development or modification. May volunteer, or upon request serve on organizational committees. Work within a care team to provide comprehensive patient care. Coordinate care, assess patients, provide education, and triage patient care concerns. Identifies patients not meeting clinical goals and arranges follow-up services by protocol or as appropriate. Complete pre-visit planning through chart preparation. Assist with prescription refill documentation. Monitor and address INR results. Provide education to other staff members or patients. Assist with prescription refill documentation. Ability to effectively operate standard medical equipment, electronic medical record software, and standard office equipment and software Strong oral and written communication skills Demonstrates a high degree of commitment to customer service excellence Possess cross-cultural sensitivity Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders, building strong relationships Ability to perform tasks both collaboratively and independently Demonstrates concern for patients of all ages, visitors, and co-workers. Maintains confidentiality of information and privacy compliance. Physical Requirements: Medium Duty: exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally or 10 to 15 pounds of force frequently or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects (based on U.S. Department of Labor data). The following physical activities are required to perform this job: Occasionally (up to 33% of work time): Standing, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, kneeling, crouching, smelling, color vision. Frequently (34-66% of work time): Walking, carrying, stooping, reaching, handling, fingering, talking, hearing, near acuity vision. Education, Licensure, and Experience Required: Graduate from a Registered Nursing education program Continuing education required in nursing-clinical management Maintain active MN RN licensure Maintain active BLS certification 2+ years' experience in clinic nursing setting; Or combined years of relevant education and experience to perform the essential duties of this position. Requirements

  • Graduate from a Registered Nursing education program
  • Continuing education required in nursing-clinical management
  • Maintain active MN RN licensure
  • Maintain active BLS certification
  • 2+ years' experience in clinic nursing setting; Or combined years of relevant education and experience to perform the essential duties of this position.
