This is a benefited, full time position working 8-hour day shifts Monday-Friday, typically from 7am-3:30pm. Hours may vary based on clinic needs. Located in La Jolla at Scripps Clinic - Torrey Pines. Why Orthopedic Surgery? Join our Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines – Orthopedic Surgery team where the RN - Clinic works closely with the Orthopedic Surgery Physicians, Physician Assistants, and supporting staff. The RN will typically work with telephone messages, triage, and patient education. The majority of this position is at a desk, on the computer and phone rather than physical face-to-face interactions with patients. What you'll do: The majority of this position is administrative (i.e. working phones, Epic, in-basket messaging). Assist with PRP. Draw up injections for providers. Ensuring Scripps patients and their families have an exceptional health care experience. Performing patient assessments and care tasks and medication administration as appropriate. Educating patients and documenting patient interactions. Practicing infection control. Contributing to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care within own scope of practice. Working collaboratively with the other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care. #LI-JS1

Requirements

  • Current California RN license
  • Current AHA Healthcare Provider BLS Certificate
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience
  • Proficient with medical terminology and of computer systems

Nice To Haves

  • At least 1 year of Outpatient Clinic experience
  • Orthopedic experience
  • Epic, in-basket & triage experience
