About The Position

The RN Clinic, Trinity Regional Eye Minot provides specialized nursing support for patients receiving ophthalmologic evaluations, treatments, and follow-up care within the outpatient clinic setting. This role performs focused patient assessments, supports diagnostic testing, and assists in preparing patients for eye examinations and procedures. Working collaboratively with ophthalmologists, ophthalmic technicians, and clinic staff, the RN helps ensure accurate documentation, efficient patient flow, and clear communication throughout the patient visit. The position functions within a supportive, specialty-focused environment where teamwork, coordination, and attention to detail are essential. Through patient education on eye health and treatment plans, adherence to safety protocols, and consistent clinical accuracy, the RN Clinic, Trinity Regional Eye Minot supports high-quality, patient-centered ophthalmic care in alignment with Trinity Health service standards.

Requirements

  • Current or temporary RN license in ND or compact RN licensure.
  • Previous experience using computerized system for data reporting, information storage and retrieval required.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Detail oriented.

Nice To Haves

  • 12 years' experience in medical field preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ophthalmology-focused assessments, gather relevant medical and visual histories, and prepare patients for provider examinations and eye procedures.
  • Coordinate diagnostic testing such as vision assessments, imaging, and laboratory work, ensuring accurate completion and timely results.
  • Maintain precise documentation of assessments, treatments, and patient instructions in the electronic health record to support continuity and regulatory compliance.
  • Educate patients and families on eye care, medication administration, procedure expectations, and follow-up requirements.
  • Collaborate with ophthalmologists, technicians, and interdisciplinary partners to manage patient flow, address clinical needs, and support safe transitions of care.
  • Participate in department quality improvement efforts, maintain competency in clinic-specific testing, and complete required training to support ophthalmologic practice.
