About The Position

The Pulmonology Clinic Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to patients with respiratory and pulmonary conditions within an outpatient clinic setting. This role supports patient assessment, treatment planning, care coordination, and evaluation of clinical outcomes in collaboration with pulmonology providers and interdisciplinary care team members. Working within a supportive, specialty-focused environment, the RN helps ensure care is delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with evidence-based practices and Trinity Health standards. The position contributes to smooth clinic operations through clear communication, accurate documentation, and coordinated workflows. Through clinical expertise, patient education, and collaborative care delivery, the Pulmonology Clinic Registered Nurse supports high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care and positive clinical outcomes.

Requirements

  • Current or temporary RN license in ND or compact RN licensure.
  • CPR required within orientation period.
  • Ongoing Point of Care certifications as required for department required within orientation period.
  • RN program as evidenced by licensure.
  • Computer use.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred.
  • One year or more of professional nursing experience preferred.
  • Clinic experience preferred.
  • Coding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, triage, and nursing interventions related to pulmonary and respiratory care.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care in collaboration with pulmonology providers and clinic staff.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and point-of-care testing in accordance with clinical protocols and provider orders.
  • Provide patient education related to respiratory conditions, medications, procedures, and self-management strategies.
  • Document clinical findings, care provided, and care coordination activities accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
  • Support clinic operations by assisting with laboratory specimen collection, care coordination, and quality improvement activities.
