Requirements

Education: Must be a graduate of accredited School of Nursing.
License(s)/Certification(s): Current Registered Professional Nurse licensure in the State of Illinois.
Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Illinois
Current CPR Certification.
Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.

Nice To Haves

Oncology Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates competence in the skills (critical thinking, interpersonal, and technical) necessary to carry out assigned duties.
Recognizes and responds to patients' physical, mental, emotional and developmental needs that need to be evaluated in relation to the patient populations served appropriately.
Assesses comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or the situation, completes needed assessments and collaborates with physicians & providers
Encourages feedback from the patient, families/significant others, peers, and other disciplines regarding perception of care provided to patients and utilizes feedback to improve patient care practices.
Acts as resource person in the subspecialty of medical oncology.
Answers incoming telephone calls and answers patient questions.
Confirms scheduled appointments.
Projects positive, flexible attitude and communications in order to meet patient's needs.
