This is a benefited, full time position working 8-hr shifts Monday-Friday with start times ranging from 7:30-8:30am. No weekends or holidays. Why Dermatology Mohs Surgery at Shiley Pavilion? Lead by Scripps Clinic dermatologists with advanced training in Mohs micrographic surgery, our center cares for more than 2,500 patients annually. Located in the Scripps Shiley Pavilion on North Torrey Pines Road, less than two miles from I-5 and Genesee Avenue, the Bighorn Mohs Surgery and Dermatology Center offers skin-preserving and life-saving treatments for skin cancer and general dermatology. Oversee 12 Medical Assistants working with 2-4 surgeons and 2 physician assistants. Be part of a team ensuring Scripps patients and their families have an exceptional health care experience. What you'll do: Be responsible for clinical flow, locally anesthetizing patients, assisting with procedures such as Mohs, biopsies, excisions, full body skin exams, in-person and telephone triage, conducting patient education, suture removals and wound care. Ensure Scripps patients and their families have an exceptional health care experience. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. Patient care includes compliance with patient assessments and care tasks, triaging, completion of clinical procedures, emergency protocols and medication administration. Works collaboratively with the other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

Requirements

  • ADN or Nursing Diploma
  • CA RN license
  • BLS required in a clinical setting from American Heart Association
