Requirements

• Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN.
• One (1) year nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Delivers high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in an ambulatory environment in accordance with clinical protocols and organizational standards.
• Assesses the patient's condition and nursing needs, sets goals, and prescribes appropriate nursing actions to meet those goals.
• Assesses, intervenes, and reassesses the patient's self-report or symptoms of pain promptly.
• Demonstrates an understanding of medication actions and side effects.
• Reports pertinent information to the appropriate individual and educates patients and significant others about their medications.
• Demonstrates the ability to evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions in accomplishing goals and intended patient care outcomes.
• Maintains the standards of nursing care and implements the policies and procedures of the hospital and department.
• Serves as a clinical resource and point of contact for staff during assigned shifts, addressing care coordination and workflow issues in real time.
• Collaborates with providers and multidisciplinary team members to ensure efficient clinic operations and optimal patient outcomes.
• Facilitates communication among staff and leadership regarding clinical concerns, patient care issues, and resource needs.
• Supports the implementation of quality improvement initiatives, safety protocols, and evidence-based practices within the ambulatory setting.
• Participates in meetings, in-services, and quality and performance improvement groups.
• Participates in staff mentoring, onboarding, and continuous education activities as appropriate.
