This is a fast paced, on your feet position with direct patient care. The clinic is open Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM, Saturday and Sunday 8 AM to 5 PM. Position would include every 3rd weekend and 2 call shifts every 6 months. Come join the Children's Urgent Care Clinic team in the fun and fast paced environment.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
  • One year of healthcare experience preferred.
  • Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
  • Within first 30 days of employment, all requirements to obtain license needed for role is completed.
  • Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Charge RN
  • Rooming and Vitals
  • Assisting with Procedures (Sutures/Staples/Splinting/Bracing)
  • Medication Administrations
  • Patient Transfers
  • Rapids Responses
  • Making Phone Calls Regarding Results and Further Treatments
  • Answers patient inquiries over the telephone, assessing the severity of the patient's symptoms and medical needs according to triage algorithms.
  • Guides the patient to the appropriate level of care; schedules patient appointments over the phone with appropriate healthcare providers/facilities/physicians.
  • Documents information provided to patients during triage in health record systems; records patients health conditions for follow-up patient care.
  • Maintains and develops triage protocols; ensures patients' healthcare information is updated on time.
  • Educate patients based on calls that come in.
