Requirements

  • One (1) year and six (6) months experience in acute care nursing.
  • California Registered Nurse (RN) License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Responsibilities

  • Provision of total patient care to a specific group of patients utilizing the nursing process.
  • Coordination of services provided by other members of the health care team within hospital policy and procedures.
  • Acting in a charge nurse capacity, directing and supervising nursing care within a specific assigned unit in the absence of and in conjunction with the Nurse Manager.
  • Identifying and correcting nursing service problems.
  • Maintaining patient care in accordance with hospital policy and regulatory agencies while effectively utilizing the chain of command.
  • Demonstrating behavior consistent with the Core Values of Community Hospital of San Bernardino.
  • Supporting the strategic plan and goals of the quality improvement process and activities.
