About The Position

The RN Charge Nurse in the Operating Room at Providence Saint John's Health Center is a full-time position responsible for assisting the Nurse Manager or Director in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the services of the unit. The Charge Nurse manages and coordinates the unit, supervises caregivers, and ensures compliance with policies and standards. This role requires maintaining clinical competence and may involve direct patient care when necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• California Registered Nurse License upon hire.
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
• ANCC recognized specialty certification upon hire or within 1 year of hire.
• 1 year recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital in specialty area.
• 1 year Charge Nurse/Relief Charge Nurse experience.

Nice To Haves

• Master's Degree in Nursing.
• Shared Governance experience.
